General Description: Varied landscapes, with rolling hills and flatlands the most common. The northern polar cap is virtually non existant and is made up entirely of icebergs. The southern polar cap is a part of the Lands of Tormod. The oceans have a heavy saline content which keeps them from freezing except in the polar region.

Physical Description:
Carbon-based,
vertebrate, mammalian biped. Small nose and mouth with predominant cheekbones
and heavy brows. Dwarfed torsos with long legs and arms. They tend to appear
gangly.

Epidermis/Exoskeleton:
They have a variety of skin tones. Their skin is very
supple because they have extra sebaceous glands. The hyperdermis is very thick
and dense providing extra warmth.
Outer Growth: Hair colors range from sandy blonde to dark brown, lighter shades are more common. It is very dense
and always appears a bit unkept and windswept. The males have beards, but many
choose a clean-shaven look, or opt for a small goatee. Eyebrows are bushy and
full.

Behaviour: Methosians are almost schizophrenic in personality. They are very orderly in government and politics. However, in their private lives they tend to be frivolous and carefree. "Work hard, play hard" is an apt description of their general attitudes. They have very quick wits and are highly personable. They have a great sense of humor and get along very well with most species. It is only when they are focused on work and getting a job done that they show any signs of impatience or temper. They are very inventive and love tinkering with gadgets. They are, by nature, a very generous people; but they are also protective and will not divulge information which might somehow expose them to danger.
Special Attributes: The Methosians can withstand extreme cold. They have a natural ability to heal by putting themselves into a state of hibernation allowing their bodies to focus all of its energies on their illness or injury. This is not a "quick-fix" by any means, but often provides a more complete healing than any other method, it also keeps them alive long enough to get medical treatment even with injuries that would prove fatal to any other species. They are strong with dense bones that rarely fracture or break. They are highly intelligent and inquisitive.
Government: Oligarchy, with a governing board similar to a board of directors presiding. The 15 directors are selected by industry vote. The directors usually represent the most prosperous businesses on Primarian Three, though one or two directors represent those traditional industries which have a long history of stability and success.
Religions/Beliefs: The Methosians don't actually have an organised religion, though there are subcultures on their planet that practice various cult styles of religion. They believe that they make their own destiny and control their own lives. Their view of life after death is that their life force is released from their corporeal bodies and swept up into the cosmos where it joins with other energies from the universe.
Society/Culture: The prison system is extensive as they have strict laws, partially as a way to control their own propensity for self-destructive behaviour. They have a live and let live attitude within their personal lives, but they believe in having highly structured business lives. Though there are is a lot of open, unclaimed territory, they tend to live in large cities. There are few agricultural communities, enough to meet the planet's basic needs only. Large extended families, marraige and divorce are fairly common, two to three children tend to be produced in a family for those couples that choose to have children.
